Job Description
Location : Torreón, Coahuila
Position : CI Leader
Objective :
Assist in coordinating and implementing Lean transformation activities and continuous improvement initiatives, serve as change champions, and provide resources for Lean improvement techniques. Provide leadership, guidance, and follow-up to support the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor internal production standards and lead kaizen activities within internal flows.
- Provide visible kaizen leadership in your areas :
- Spend at least 50% of your time on the floor driving change.
- Be 100% aware of the current status—ensure obstacles are resolved daily.
- Serve as the "Kaizen contact point" for your areas of responsibility. As a Kaizen leader, deliver lean reports to the plant.
- Ensure LEAN rules are considered in new projects during each validation phase. Assist plant / site management in managing continuous improvement. Manage division's production plans.
- Implement LEAN standards and best practices within the plant / site. Ensure full application of Group LEAN standards in the Plant / Site, including :
- 5S and respect for the product.
- Reduction of equipment losses.
- Direct labor efficiency.
- Scrap reduction.
- WIP reduction.
- Lean industrialization.
- Be autonomous in managing continuous improvement.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and actively participate in daily and weekly Kaizen events.
- Collaborate with various departments such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and operations to meet assigned goals and objectives during Kaizen events or those facilitating continuous improvement.
- Help build a CI culture throughout the organization. Work individually or as part of a team to perform root cause analysis.
- Manage the LEAN budget.
- Ensure compliance with PKC Group's Environmental, Health, Safety, and Energy Policies.
- Comply with environmental, safety, health, and energy regulations applicable at federal, state, and municipal levels related to our activities and products, and adhere to EMASS procedures (Energy, Environment, Safety & Security) inherent to your role.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the Energy, Environment, Health, and Safety Management System, including achieving EMASS objectives and goals.
