Overview
Senior Manager, Technical Program Management within SHIELD, Zillow’s Security, Help, Identity, Experience, Lifecycle, Delivery organization. You will lead a team of experienced Technical Program Managers and Program Managers who orchestrate execution across complex, multi-disciplinary technology and risk domains. Reporting to the VP, CISO, this role elevates operational excellence, drives strategic alignment, and ensures programs deliver measurable business outcomes at scale. You will set vision, influence senior leaders, and build an empowered team that thrives in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
Responsibilities
- People Leadership : Recruit, mentor, and grow TPM / PM talent; set clear performance expectations, foster psychological safety, and build career pathways aligned to Zillow’s mission.
- Program Execution : Lead multi-functional programs across Security, Risk, End-User Experience, and IAM; ensure outcomes are measurable, secure, and sustainable.
- Strategic Planning : Drive operational planning cycles; set objectives that balance resilience, productivity, and innovation.
- Governance & Reporting : Establish portfolio-level dashboards, metrics, and executive briefings to track performance, outcomes, and enterprise risk.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Forge strong partnerships across Engineering, Legal, People & Places, Procurement, and Finance to ensure broad alignment and accountability.
- Policy & Influence : Contribute to enterprise policy and process evolution, ensuring SHIELD’s mission to protect, support, and enable Zillow is embedded into company-wide practices.
Who you are
Proven Leader : 10+ years of program management experience, with at least 4 years leading TPM / PM teams in fast-moving, complex organizations.Strategic Operator : Demonstrated success steering large-scale initiatives across cybersecurity, IT, risk, compliance, or regulated industries (fintech, real estate, lending).Executive Influencer : Adept at building trust with executives, engineers, and business leaders; skilled at aligning diverse stakeholders on critical decisions.Technically Fluent : Strong technical acumen with the ability to interface credibly with engineers and translate complex requirements into actionable frameworks.Portfolio Mindset : Deep understanding of portfolio / program management in both agile and hybrid environments, with the ability to scale frameworks across diverse teams.Outcome-Oriented : Passionate about scaling systems, reducing risk, enabling teams, and delivering measurable business impact.Forward-Looking : A strategic thinker who anticipates complexity, identifies systemic risks, and builds resilience into plans.Communicator & Connector : Exceptional ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences; adept at shaping narratives for executives, boards, and teams.About Zillow and the Team
