SUMMARY
As IT Director in AutoZone BTSSC, you will be responsible for setting and executing the vision for several teams in the development, testing, and support of AutoZone's technology applications and infrastructure. A successful candidate will have a background in Software Engineering and a strong familiarity with software development and IT Infrastructure, great project management and communication skills, and an eagerness to grow with a team as they take on increasing responsibility. This position is highly strategic in nature, setting and influencing medium to long range (2-5 year) business goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage partnership with AutoZone HQ US and network with IT / business partners to maximize the achievement of business goals
- Lead in-depth analysis by providing insight into capital, technology, processes, and personnel investments needed to achieve business objectives
- Effectively interact with IT and business management to resolve operating, technical and coordination of problems that may impact project delivery, system effectiveness or general IT operations
- Participate as a member of the IT management team in functional activities such as planning, budgeting, special projects, and other initiatives that span the organization.
- Participate as a member of the AutoZone Shared Services leadership team in activities pertaining to the 1000+ person organization
- This position is responsible for 6 – 8 direct reports and an overall organization of 100+ IT professionals.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, Master's degree preferredFifteen to twenty years' experience, with consistently demonstrated and increasing capabilities, with at least five years of deep technical experience / five years as Manager / Lead of multiple cross functional teamsExperience leading and guiding cross-functional delivery teams in multiple of the following areas : software development, software quality engineering, support, IT operations, IT infrastructure, and IT SecurityEffective in setting direction, addressing competing priorities, and managing changeCustomer-centric approach to solving challenges with the ability to develop and execute a technical vision with a focus on business valueExperience influencing others, advocating for technical excellence while being open to change when neededResilient, comfortable in ambiguous situations with the ability to approach challenges from multiple perspectivesStrong team player who supports their team in all regards and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team's workCultivate an environment where all employees respect and adhere to AutoZone company standards of integrity and ethicsAttract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforceWith an overall organization of 100+ IT professionals identifies individual and team opportunities and effectively coaches for change and improvementMentors AutoZoners for growth and talent development#J-18808-Ljbffr
