This Position reports to : Procurement Manager
Your Role : Own the Challenge
In this role, you will ensure that local operations within your assigned area comply with ABB’s trade policies and guidelines, while implementing the Global Trade Program. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to import / export-related trade regulations at the local level. You will also demonstrate your expertise by developing, documenting, and maintaining procedures and guidelines related to export controls, sanctions, and customs compliance requirements.
The work model for the role is : Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Robotics Business Unit in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on the status of local implementation of ABB’s Global Trade Program and on significant changes in export control and customs laws / regulations.
- Develop and maintain a general awareness program on export control and customs compliance for local business staff, and deliver trade-related training (especially where export control responsibilities are delegated).
- Ensure seamless integration of trade compliance into daily operations, including master data requirements, supplier qualifications, and other relevant processes, in collaboration with local teams.
- Conduct local trade reviews and / or annual self-audits to assess compliance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and share up-to-date knowledge of all relevant import / export laws, procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in similar roles, such as Trade & Transportation Specialist.Strong knowledge of import / export processes and foreign trade regulations.Advanced proficiency in English.Experience with multimodal import / export operations. Familiarity with IMMEX and Annex 24 is a plus.Operational experience in trade compliance.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.Benefits
