Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Business Partner to join our team and help drive organizational success through people. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, influencing business outcomes, and collaborating directly with leaders. You will lead and implement talent strategies, advise on HR policies, and deliver impactful solutions across recruitment, performance, succession planning, compensation, engagement, onboarding / offboarding, and retention. You will also design and implement data-driven HR tools and generate insights to guide decision-making and foster a culture of accountability and high engagement. This position includes a strategic focus on compensation and benefits, supporting the HRBP team with expert guidance and ensuring equitable, competitive, and sustainable practices.

Required Qualifications

Position Overview

As an HR Business Partner at GKN Automotive, you will play a key role in aligning HR practices with business goals. Your responsibilities will include partnering with leaders to co-create talent agendas, advising on HR policies, and ensuring consistent application across the organization. You will design and implement frameworks for recruitment, performance, succession planning, compensation, engagement, onboarding / offboarding, and retention. You will generate insights from HR data to support strategic decisions, improve engagement, and anticipate organizational risks.

You will also provide first-line support in labor relations, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with corporate values, while maintaining data quality and guiding peers through key HR processes. Building strong relationships with internal clients and staying current on trends and best practices will be essential to continuously add value.

In addition to your HRBP responsibilities, you will serve as the technical and strategic lead for compensation and benefits. This includes advising HRBPs on compensation, benefits, and organizational structure decisions; monitoring internal and external equity; analyzing market benchmarks; defining salary bands; and leading calibration processes. You will evaluate off-cycle salary adjustment requests and ensure alignment with compensation strategy, while designing and adapting benefits initiatives that enhance employee engagement and experience. You will also participate in organizational redesigns, define levels and architecture, and guide HRBPs in applying these frameworks.
