General Summary
The Director for TV Distribution will oversee all aspects of operations for SVOD, AVOD, and new media within the assigned clients and partners. The role includes troubleshooting contractual and operational client issues, reviewing all legal contracts for SVOD, AVOD, and FAST, analysing prospective sales deals, negotiating product flows, scheduling distribution windows, and promoting cross‑divisional synergies. The Director will also seek co‑production opportunities and collaborate with Sony Pictures divisions across the territory.
Responsibilities
- Sell long‑form and short‑form programming to pan‑regional digital OTT streaming partners (SVOD, AVOD, FAST)
- Negotiate term sheets and long‑form agreements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
- Manage partner relationships with top‑tier digital and OTT platforms
- Create and execute new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with stakeholders to craft curated content packages maximizing revenue and profitability
- Use competitive intelligence to inform sales and negotiations
- Drive year‑over‑year growth of content licensing revenue and profit
- Partner with Legal, Business Affairs, Sales Planning, Production, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Research & Analytics
- Strategically sell against budgets and prospects
- Track and report business performance weekly against budget and forecast
- Attend all relevant sales markets, including local and international trips
Qualifications
5–7 years of sales experience in the Latin American market, preferably with studio sales experienceBachelor’s degreeIn‑depth knowledge of all digital platforms (SVOD, AVOD, FAST)Experience selling or acquiring content for major streaming companies, networks, or studiosStrong negotiation skills and ability to analyze deals via financial modelingExpertise in identifying and developing new business opportunities with commercial and strategic partnersGeneral knowledge of content distribution and complex contract negotiationExcellent verbal and written communication in both English and SpanishAdvanced presentation, risk assessment, and problem‑solving skillsWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as requiredKey Skills
