School16 is reinventing how Universities serve their students, and we're looking for a Business Development expert to join our growing team!

Please note that past experience is required to be considered.

Please describe your expertise and examples of successful work you've done in your application.

Our programs have been developed and tested at top Universities as well as venture accelerators and funds, including NYU's Entrepreneurial Institute, Venture for America, Starta Ventures, State University of New York, and more.

Our network of instructors and speakers include tech leaders at public and private companies like Google, Netflix, Slack, and Spotify and all programs are designed and run by practitioners to help students achieve tangible career results.

This is an opportunity to work directly with a founding team that has experience across higher education, media, venture capital and technology.

What you'll do

Build and manage outbound prospecting campaigns targeting decision-makers in U.S. higher education (e.g. deans, strategy and innovation leaders, student success leaders, and more).

Use AI and automation tools to support research, writing outreach, sequence optimization, repurposing content, scaling touch-points without losing personalization.

Use multi-channel outreach (email, LinkedIn, calls, social media engagement), with personalized messaging, follow-ups, and nurture sequences.

Conduct research on institutions / departments to understand their needs, priorities, pain points (e.g. student placement, employer relationships, program outcomes).

Handle phone conversations and video calls confidently with senior stakeholders.

Effectively communicate value of School16's programs, partnerships, and outcomes.

Track outreach metrics (response rates, meeting set rate, conversion to partnership, speed to lead), maintain CRM hygiene.

Collaborate with marketing, content, product / programs teams to refine messaging, case studies, and other sales collateral.

Who you are

You have native level fluency in English.

Applicants that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

You have 1-3 years of experience in SDR / BDR / outbound / partnerships roles, preferably in education, tech, SaaS, or related fields

Demonstrated ability to set meetings / pipeline through outreach.

You have done multi-touch sequences, cold outreach, and have a track-record of results.

You're a highly organized person that's proficient in leveraging AI to maximize your output

You are relentless at following up to make sure that we're building deep cross-functional relationships with university leaders

You thrive in a small team with a lot of autonomy

You are someone who gets excited at the opportunity to help higher education professionals innovate and deliver outcomes to the students they serve
