Business Development Manager - CPG & Food & Beverage Industries

About the Role :
We're looking for a Business Development Manager who thrives in the dynamic world of Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) and the food and beverage industry. This is your opportunity to lead with curiosity, connect with decision-makers, and deliver real value to operational teams across North America.
You will play a critical role in driving market expansion by owning the full sales cycle—from lead generation through to successful onboarding. This role is best suited for professionals who know how to translate operational challenges into compelling business solutions and who can do it all while navigating complex B2B environments with confidence and clarity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead Business Acquisition : Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with mid-size to large organizations in the CPG and food & beverage sectors.
- Consultative Selling : Position tailored solutions to address specific client pain points, enhancing operational efficiency and supply chain reliability.
- Own the Sales Cycle : Manage end-to-end sales activities—lead generation, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and client onboarding.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with pricing, operations, IT, logistics, and marketing teams to create a seamless onboarding experience and deliver service excellence.
- Data-Driven Strategy : Maintain pipeline performance and sales activity records in CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics.
- Travel : Travel up to 50% based on business needs for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
What You Bring :
Demonstrated success in business development or sales roles, particularly in new client acquisition ("hunter" roles).In-depth understanding of the CPG and food & beverage industries, with a focus on supply chain, logistics, and operational pain points.Exceptional ability to build rapport and influence executive decision-makers.Skilled in negotiation, pricing models, and client onboarding processes.Strong verbal and written communication abilities, paired with excellent presentation skills.Hands-on experience with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.Ability to think strategically while executing with speed and precision.Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.ttg Talent Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer and recruiting agency.
