Software Engineer (Python / API Integrations)

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
Proven experience developing RESTful APIs using Python (or Go, Ruby, Node.js).
Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and strong SQL proficiency.
Proficiency with Git and best practices for version control.
Strong sense of ownership and ability to deliver tangible business value in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.

Bonus Skills (Nice‑to‑Haves)

Experience in a startup or high‑growth company.

Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React.

Unit testing and automated acceptance testing frameworks.

Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform or similar IaC tools.

Hands‑on experience with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

Development & Architecture

Create and maintain software for critical internal and external API integrations using Python.

Champion best practices in code quality, building maintainable, low‑complexity software adhering to SOLID, DRY.

Translate complex requirements into executable development plans and break down projects for iterative, agile implementation.

Collaboration & Support

Partner with Product and Operations stakeholders to define and support product development needs.

Provide production support for products during business hours on a rotating schedule; no after‑hours on‑call support.
