About The Right Team Member

The Business Intelligence Analyst II role will be responsible for the development of the most ideal data environment for the organization to conduct analytical insight, productional business operations, and make informed business decisions.

This role owns the road-mapping and stakeholder management of a specific business vertical, working directly with stakeholders to understand, prioritize, communicate, and execute business requests, including translating business requests into technical requirements.

Working closely with other members of the Business Intelligence team and stakeholders across the organization, they will maintain ETL pipelines, build complex data models, produce impactful reports / dashboards, and consult on business problems using first-hand expertise.

This role specifically focuses on supporting our Payments teams.

About the role

Collaborate with stakeholders and sometimes lead projects and roadmaps to improve business operations and systems utilizing institutional, technological, and analytical expertise

Consult with management to understand current and future business goals and strategies to ensure that the business data ecosystem, enterprise reporting, and analyses are aligned

Own the prioritization and execution of the Payments BI roadmap

Utilize BI tools and work with Data Analytics to create and manage reports, dashboards, and data marts that are critical for the centralization of business metrics and KPIs

Work closely with business to align on business logic to design, create, and operationalize business logic into source-of-truth data models in the Enterprise Data Warehouse and surface them through self-service BI tools

Build out and maintain data models to provide business-critical information to various functions across the company

Skills & Experience

BA / BS Degree, in a quantitative field preferred

Experience in a similar role, within a high-growth environment, preferred in BI or a role involving data modeling and / or SQL-based data transformation and analytics

Advanced proficiency in SQL

Proficiency in a BI tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)

Experience in Data Modeling

Experience working in an Agile environment for road-mapping and sprint planning / management is a plus

Proficiency in ETL, Snowflake, GitHub, and dbt is a plus

Ability to present data in a simple, clean, concise visual and written manner

Strong understanding of business-side implications of work; ability to collaborate with business stakeholders at all levels to understand data needs

Experience developing data models and databases at a nascent or rapidly scaling business

Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and highly organized

Understanding of SaaS industry business metrics and strategy

Understanding of Payments functions and key business metrics

Business-centric, data-oriented, analytically minded, and results-driven

Ability to plan and manage time and responsibilities autonomously

Ability to manage and influence a project end to end

Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly evaluate and learn new technologies

Advanced critical thinking skills to scope and frame problems
