Procurement / Buyer (Food Services) , who represents both the face of procurement for the Business, and the face of the Business for Procurement. He / she is the key Procurement Business Partner to the local entity for the assigned spend and categories. He / she provides procurement service and secures Procurement’s support to the local business strategy and performance.
He / she is accountable for the implementation of the central and local procurement strategies for the assigned spend and categories. He / she ensures proper deployment of procurement practices, policies and projects, creating a competitive advantage for Franke at a minimum risk to the business. At the same time, he / she is the voice of the customer towards the central organization regarding what support is required from Procurement in order to best support the business success.
The Buyer is reporting to the Procurement Cluster Lead within the Division and is instrumental in driving alignment through stakeholder groups and across distinct spend and categories for the respective locations.
Responsible for purchasing and negotiating direct and indirect materials, equipment, services and supplies from vendors for the company. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
Your tasks
Category Management
Understands division business strategy and objectives and translate into procurement requirements
Cascades-down categories long term strategies and implications for the local business stakeholders
Challenges the Central Category Manager to ensure that their contribution impacts positively the local business while keeping the global strategy in mind
Operations
Works with business and category leaders to support identification and prioritization of specific local initiatives
Ensures execution of Procurement tasks against agreed-upon objectives
In charge of the reporting for his / her local assigned spend and categories. Ensure numbers accuracy and availability of data
Assures compliances to standards and adaption of ways of working
Contract Implementation and management for locally concluded contracts
Supplier Relationship Management
Manages and shares local evaluation on key contract and strategic direct and indirect suppliers’ performance
Consolidates and feeds the categories with relevant information on suppliers
Business Partnering
Acts as a Procurement Business Partner; is “the face of procurement” for the local business and the other way around to the central organization. He / she ensures business requirements are met and internal clients are satisfied. He / she is covering the assigned spend and categories of the local business, direct and / or indirect.
Provides value creation ideas and projects, including innovation, sustainability, risk management, and cost
Manages and influences local top management towards effective Procurement integration and alignment with the business
Leadership
Manages escalation process with direct category management or Procurement leadership when required
Removes existing barriers to enable more effective delivery of innovation, new suppliers and new materials

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Education in Business Administration or Technical background
Procurement and / or Supply Chain Management experience
Good knowledge in English. Other languages a plus
ERP background – SAP
3 - 5 years within Procurement
Ideally worked in a Matrix environment
International business experience desired
Ability to travel occasionally
