Principal Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across software, hardware, and system integration domains.
• Contribute to the development and integration of embedded control systems, including architecture and implementation.
• Apply model-based design and physical system modeling to optimize system performance.
• Guide cross-functional teams in defining system requirements and architecture strategies.
• Participate in technical decision-making to ensure alignment with business and engineering goals.
• Lead or support technical reviews of specifications, algorithms, and designs.
• Solve advanced control system challenges using simulation and analytical methods.
• Define scopes of work and manage external contractors and consultants.
• Mentor engineering staff and advise on emerging technologies.
• Maintain technical expertise through professional development and collaboration.
