- Functional objectives :
- Responsible on the Global Mobility Team for ensuring smooth immigration processes for expatriates, current employees or new hires relocating internationally or requiring specialized business travel immigration support. This role focuses on compliance, strategic guidance, and optimizing processes for visas & work permits applications, renewals, and other related immigration matters.
- Main Tasks :
- Handling immigration cases, from intake to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines.
- Liaise with third party vendors and internal clients to ensure immigration initiation, on track processes, closure and renewals.
- Serve as point of contact for all internal stakeholders; including sponsored employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition; and outside immigration counsel to coordinate day to day US non-Immigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, etc.) and US immigrant (prevailing wage determination follow-up, recruitment reporting, PERM review, etc.) related matters, as well as other country related immigration needs.
- Coordinate with other internal teams (inbound country teams) where applicable for immigration related topics.
- Establish and improve internal program processes to increase efficiencies in visa processing and other relevant tasks.
- Day-to-day and weekly follow-ups and reviews provided by Global Mobility Manager and Immigration vendors.
- Update stakeholders on milestones. Keep key clients up to date with developments in immigration law / processes.
- Preparing reports on immigration-related matters. Compile and summarize data within case management for reporting to clients, managers and team.
- General administrative support as required including immigration and relocation billing responsibilities, case record updates, document review and tracking, monitoring / confirming upcoming expiries and ad hoc administrative tasks.
- Education and professional knowledge :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Human Resources or related field.
- 2 years of experience in immigration services, global mobility, or HR compliance.
- Strong understanding of immigration laws and / or regulations.
- Experience with visa applications and relocation processes.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Familiarity with corporate global mobility policies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, attention to detail, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to navigate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners / vendors.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging best practices immigration, global mobility and relocation.#LI-PR1
