A Snapshot of Your Day
The day begins at the Guanajuato Power
Transformer factory, reviewing installation plans and coordinating technical
requirements for ongoing projects. The role involves close collaboration with
Project Management, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure resources and
documentation are prepared. Throughout the day, the engineer manages
communication with site personnel, plans corrective actions for transformer
claims, and prepares for field visits. Continuous communication with customers
is maintained to provide support for on-site issues, deliver solutions,
clarifications, and technical assistance. Approximately 20% of the time is
dedicated to traveling to customer sites for installation supervision,
commissioning, and troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with safety, quality,
and performance standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Supervise and coordinate service activities for power transformers with
internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring compliance with HSE standards,
corporate safety programs, and applicable regulations.
Review installation plans, define technical requirements, and plan
on-site work to resolve claims and guarantee timely execution within budget.
Collaborate with Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and
Quality teams to address customer issues and deliver effective solutions.
Maintain clear communication with site personnel, contractors, and
internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and safe operations.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of service activities,
including inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective actions, while
supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Proactively develop projects and provide recommendations to effectively
support customers in response to growing demand.
What You Bring
Educational background in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics
(other degrees may be considered with relevant experience), with advanced
English proficiency.
Minimum 7 years of experience in power transformer projects, including
installation, maintenance, and commissioning; experience in design, testing, or
manufacturing is highly valued.
Technical and analytical skills : proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP
knowledge is a plus, familiarity with industrial communication protocols (IEC
61850, Modbus), and strong root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities.
Leadership and coordination : proven ability to manage teams and
stakeholders effectively, with excellent communication, decision-making, and a
solution-oriented mindset.
Client management experience : working with utilities, conventional and
renewable energy generators, and EPCs, with a strong commitment to
confidentiality and integrity.
Personal competencies : results-driven, highly organized, adaptable, and
collaborative in fast-paced environments, with the ability to perform under
pressure.
