Job Description
Full P&L ownership for the Chemical Business Unit in MexicoLeadership (directly and indirectly) of commercial, operational, and support teams across multiple sitesStrategic planning and execution to meet revenue, margin, and growth targetsOversight of customer relationships, supplier partnerships, and regulatory complianceAccountability for ensuring compliance with Mexican labor laws, environmental standards, tax regulations, trade controls, and chemical handling legislationReporting into regional or global leadership with influence on broader business strategyDevelop and execute the business unit strategy aligned with corporate and regional goalsLead and inspire a high-performing team across sales, operations, supply chain, and support functionsDrive commercial performance through customer engagement, pricing strategy, and market developmentEnsure operational efficiency, product quality, and safety across all facilities and processesMonitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlBuild strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodiesEnsure full compliance with Mexican governance frameworks, including labor law, environmental protection (e.g., SEMARNAT), occupational health and safety (e.g., NOM standards), tax and customs regulations (e.g., SAT), and chemical industry-specific legislationChampion continuous improvement, innovation, and digital transformation initiativesRepresent the business unit in executive forums and contribute to enterprise-wide initiativesAchieve revenue, EBITDA, margin, and cash generation targetsMaintain safety performanceCompliance with all regulatory and governance requirements (zero violations or incidents)Customer satisfaction and retention metricsOperational KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, safety performance)Employee engagement and retentionMarket share growth and new business developmentExecution of strategic initiatives and transformation projectsThe Successful Applicant
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (MBA preferred)10+ years of progressive leadershipExperience and relationships in a combination of the chemical industry, alongside existing relationships with major manufacturers, spanning Automotive, Industrial and Aerospace industriesProven track record of P&L ownership and delivering financial resultsExperience managing multi-site operations and cross-functional teamsStrong understanding of Mexican legal and regulatory frameworks, including labor, environmental, and chemical complianceBilingual (Spanish and English) is essentialStrategic thinker with strong commercial acumenInspirational leader with a collaborative and inclusive styleResults‑driven with a focus on execution and accountabilityStrong communicator and relationship builderCommitted to safety, quality, and continuous improvementHigh integrity and ethical standardsBe able to relocate to Saltillo or commute everyday from MonterreyWhat's on Offer
