Controller

Our client is a Global automotive industry leader, and they have requested us to search for an experienced Plant Controller for their manufacturing facility in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila.

OVERVIEW

This role is the finance leader responsible for : balance sheet management, forecasting and reporting, executing on financial commitments, ensuring accounting compliance, partnering with plant leadership, and developing a strong finance team, and all other controller duties.

Job Responsibilities :

• Leads the Profit Plan and Outlook processes. Must ensure accuracy and limited variance.
• Maintains accurate balance sheet accounts and corresponding reconciliations. Conducts regular reviews to ensure accuracy.
• Ensures Month end process is accurate and executed according to timeline
• Acts as the Finance Business Partner to the Plant Manager and their leadership team.
• Responsible for improving the P&L.
• Identifies and supports cost improvements and program profitability activities.
• Maintains a robust internal control environment aligned to the company Business Operating System and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Supervises and leads the plant finance team. Responsible for ensuring team is properly trained and supports in professional development activities.
• Supports all compliance, internal and external audit activities.
• Prepares and supports Capital Appropriation Requests including financial justification in accordance with company guidelines.
• Partner with the Commercial team on Pricing and Commercial issues and strategies.
• Leads Plant through implementation of new finance and accounting processes and procedures.
• Support and promote a safe work environment at the plant.
• Perform additional related duties and analyses as directed by Finance leadership.
