Overview

The Sr Volume Planning Manager will lead end-to-end volume planning across Amazon Mexico's transportation network, encompassing Middle Mile and Last Mile operations. This role orchestrates planning cycles at weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual levels while ensuring alignment across all transportation miles. The manager develops volume forecasts, capacity plans, and strategic initiatives to meet customer demand while optimizing cost and service performance. Key indicators include On-Time Delivery and Cost Per Unit. The role balances short-term operational requirements with long-term strategic planning, including network design and expansion considerations. The manager collaborates with senior leadership to present volume strategies, capacity plans, and performance metrics and coordinates with finance teams to align volume plans with financial targets. Mentors team members in planning methodologies and drives transportation network efficiency while ensuring exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Help plan capacity based on volume plans published by each mile within the Supply Chain team.
• Influence last mile network strategy and ensure capacity is enough to meet demand.
• Build strategies to support upside in package demand while optimizing for cost, speed, and service performance.
• Work cross-functionally to understand long-term requirements of programs that leverage each mile network.
• Interact with senior-level audiences (including directors) from internal and external teams.
• Develop the end-to-end planning process, tools, and models with insights on the first, middle, and last mile network for the Mexico Supply Chain team.
• Deliver high quality customer experience while minimizing cost and improving fulfillment speed.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership from various partner teams to drive alignment.
