Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for a self-driven and competent Accounts Receivable / Collection Specialist to join our team As a Collection Specialist at our company, your main responsibility will be to contact clients and collect missed or outstanding payments and negotiate contract settlements.Duties and Responsibilities Monitor portfolio of accounts daily and identify outstanding account receivablesInvestigate historical data for debts and bills and take actions to encourage timely paymentsProcess payments, credits, and refundsResearch and respond to customer inquiries regarding billing-related issuesReconcile accounts for billing and cash application and resolve customer credit issuesContact customers (via phone and email) with overdue balances and collect paymentNegotiate payment plans within approved guidelinesUpdate account status records and keep up-to-date accurate notes on customer recordsPrepare and present reports on collection activities and progressContact customers with declined credit cards and respond to ACH chargebacks within allotted time from the bankAnswer incoming phone calls and respond to voicemails in a timely mannerRespond to internal requests and manage email inboxes daily (personal and group email inboxes)Help customers navigate through the cancellation process to settle their contract balanceReview accounts that have filed for bankruptcyWork with a 3rd party collections agency and submit delinquent accountsEscalate issues which need additional reviewOther projects and tasks as assignedYou'll thrive in this role if you have : At least 2–3 years' experience in Collections and Accounts ReceivableSkilled in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExceptional integrity, honesty, and trustworthinessExcellent ability to successfully interface with clients and handle multiple priorities concurrentlyAble to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environmentCritical thinking skillsSelf-motivatedHigh capacity to learn and adaptDoes this position sound like something you would enjoy and be successful at, but you're not sure you have the exact qualifications to be considered?
