Key Responsibilities
Ensure import transactions are executed in compliance with all applicable Customs laws and regulations while maximizing duty-savings for the company.
Manage the site(s) import compliance Maquiladora program to ensure the proper application and execution of Customs laws, processes, and procedures.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for complex and high-level Corporate import compliance initiatives.
Lead projects tied to US Customs Reconciliation, Country of Origin verification, USMCA Reviews.
Conduct site risk assessments, audits, and support to complete corrective actions to mitigate risks in Maquiladora sites.
Possess a substantial working knowledge of Customs regulations.
Applies greater judgment to import transaction and can handle difficult and complex transactions using skills from experience or advanced training / education to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
Develops and applies new processes and procedures.
YOU MUST HAVE
5+ years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in a multinational company
Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or related field
Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, including customs laws, export controls, and sanctions
Experience in managing trade compliance programs, including classification, licensing, and compliance audits
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions
Advanced English
