This role involves coordinating brokers, processing payments, and ensuring accurate accounting records. You will also arrange shipment schedules, monitor in-transit status, and handle shipping exceptions.
A critical aspect of this job is preparing customs clearance documents, tracking status, and resolving issues. You must apply for customs tax payments and follow up with the finance department.
Regular inspections of logistics brokers, port yards, and agents' operations are necessary to ensure safety measures are in place. This includes checking protective measures and verifying the safety of imported raw materials and products.
You will work closely with the finance department to ensure timely payment progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
To excel in this position, you'll need a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or Business Administration, along with hands-on experience in import / export logistics and customs coordination. In-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures, Mexican customs regulations, and documentation requirements is essential.
Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis, is required. Strong communication skills and fluency in English and Spanish are also necessary.
