Finance Sr Manager – Business Process Optimization Shared Services

Position Summary
Shared services organization seeks an accomplished and analytical Finance Sr Manager Business Process Optimization / Transformation to drive continuous improvement initiatives across our finance operations. This role will be responsible for mapping existing processes, identifying standardization opportunities, and implementing solutions to increase operational efficiency and service quality. This position will collaborate closely with finance, IT and business stakeholders to align transformation projects with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Mapping & Analysis : Lead comprehensive mapping of current finance processes (e.g. AP, AR, GL, tax, payroll) to understand workflows, dependencies and pain points.
- Standardization & Optimization : Develop and implement standardized processes, policies and controls, ensuring consistency and compliance across geographies and business units.
- Opportunity Identification : Analyze transactional data and operational metrics to uncover process inefficiencies, bottlenecks and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Transformation Roadmap : Build and maintain a transformation roadmap with clear milestones, deliverables and value‑creation targets aligned to the organization’s objectives.
- Change Management : Partner with HR and communications teams to develop change management strategies, including training and support to drive user adoption of new processes and tools.
- Continuous Improvement : Implement continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and monitor KPIs to ensure that efficiencies are sustained and enhanced over time.
- Technology Enablement : Collaborate with IT and external vendors to evaluate, select and implement technology solutions such as workflow automation, robotic process automation (RPA) and data analytics tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with senior leaders, finance teams and cross‑functional partners to communicate progress, secure buy‑in and ensure alignment with broader business strategies.
- Governance & Compliance : Ensure that standardized processes comply with internal policies, GAAP / IFRS standards and relevant local regulations; design controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.Minimum of 4 years’ experience in finance operations or shared services, with at least 2 years in process improvement or transformation roles.Demonstrated success in leading process standardization and improvement initiatives across multi‑site or global organizations.Proficiency in process mapping techniques certification (e.g. Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt) is a plus.Experience with finance ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and understanding of automation technologies (RPA, AI).Strong project management skills, with experience in developing transformation roadmaps, managing timelines, budgets and resources.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders and presenting to senior leadership.Fluency in English is requiredPersonal Attributes
