HIL Automation Engineer

Major :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

Expertise :

2-4 year of experience in HIL systems, embedded systems validation, or real-time simulation.

Significant hands-on experience working with HIL systems such as dSPACE, National Instruments (NI), ETAS, or similar tools.

Advanced certifications or training in HIL testing, embedded systems, or related areas are a plus.

Responsabilities :

Develop, configure, and execute HIL test cases to validate embedded systems and ECUs. Work with the test team to ensure that tests cover all necessary functional, performance, and safety requirements.

Integrate and interface hardware with simulation software to simulate real-world conditions and assess system behavior in a controlled environment.

Write automated test scripts and procedures to enhance the efficiency of HIL testing. Use scripting languages like Python, MATLAB, or similar to automate test scenarios and data collection.

Setup and configure HIL testing platforms, including signal generators, data acquisition systems, and communication protocols.

Integrate various hardware components, sensors, and ECUs into the testing environment, ensuring proper system connectivity and communication.

Investigate and troubleshoot issues encountered during HIL testing, identifying whether they stem from hardware, software, or configuration issues.

Identify areas for improvement in HIL test processes, systems, and tools.

Skills :

• HiL Platforms (NI / dSPACE) 2+ years experience with HIL test equipment and platforms (e.g., real-time simulation, signal generators, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems).
• VeriStand / ControlDesk Good knowlege about the envioroment of VeriSand to integrate model of different vendors
• Communication Protocols Strong knowladge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay
• LabVIEW / MATLAB 2+ years of Experience with software tools for modeling and simulation, such as MATLAB / Simulink, LabVIEW, or similar.
• Real-Time Systems Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software development
• HIL Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop testing methodology
• Electronics Understanding of electrical engineering concepts such as voltage, current, signals, circuit behavior, and schematics interpretation.
• CI / CD Experiences integrating test automation frameworks in CI / CD pipelines for Continous Testing
• SW Testing / QA Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance techniques
