Cost Development Lead Specialist Job Description

As a Cost Development Lead Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving cost development for vehicle programs from inception to contract commitment milestone.

Key responsibilities include developing component-level cost targets using top-down budget allocation, applying reference vehicle data and Low Cost Country savings to EBOM component level data, understanding vehicle construction by systems and subsystems, identifying and organizing technical commodities into their functional purpose, and leading cross-functional team reviews of cost status to target and component sourcing.

This critical role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is also essential. Familiarity with financial management systems and tools such as Fastcar2, EBOM & STV, and Qlik Sense is an advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Finance
• 8 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
• Familiarity with financial management systems and tools
