About The Team

The Data Quality Solutions team is responsible for building and maintaining platform capabilities that ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across Paylocity’s ecosystem. Our work focuses on automating manual workflows, enforcing data validation, and streamlining data processing to support critical business operations.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer who can contribute across the full development lifecycle—designing scalable solutions, writing clean and maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and supporting production systems through on-call rotations. This role involves close collaboration with Product Managers, Software Test Engineers, and other Software Engineers in an agile environment. The ideal candidate is someone who values engineering rigor, enjoys solving complex data problems, and thrives in a team-oriented setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications following established best practices
• Contribute to existing codebase while demonstrating good separation of concerns
• Collaborate on project planning and implementation with senior engineers
• Understand and adapt to existing system designs and technology choices
• Assist in developing solutions for small to medium-sized projects
• Implement automated tests and contribute to testing improvements
• Follow established coding standards and participate in code reviews
• Communicate effectively within the engineering team
• Participate actively in team discussions and planning sessions
• Maintain awareness of ongoing team projects and initiatives
