Jr Accountant

Job description : We are seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations for our Mexico operation.This role will focus on transactional accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting, and reconciliations) while also providing opportunities to assist with month-end close, reporting, and audit preparation.Key ResponsibilitiesTransactional AccountingProcess and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.Maintain accounts receivable records, prepare customer statements, and support collections follow-up.Review employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and credit card statements.Record general ledger journal entries in Epicor ERP.Month-End Close & ReportingAssist in monthly closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.Support preparation of internal reports for U.S. and Canada SG&A entities.Provide documentation and analysis for internal and external audits.Process & ComplianceEnsure transactions are compliant with internal controls, accounting policies, and company procedures.Maintain organized financial records and support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in accounting processes.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2-3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environtment.Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS exposure a plus).
