Position Overview :
We are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Hospitality & Lodging Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Inn. The ideal candidate will combine operational oversight with a warm, guest-first attitude that reflects the hotels family-centered values. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a close-knit team environment and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences from check-in to breakfast.
Requirements
- Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and grounds are clean, well-maintained, and reflect the charm and quality of the Inn
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring service standards are consistently met
- Greet and register guests, respond to inquiries, and ensure all special requests are handled with care
- Supervise and support front-desk and housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Coordinate front-desk operations, room assignments, billing, and reservations
- Maintain and track daily operations including occupancy, expenses, inventory, and vendor relations
- Set and manage budgets, approve purchases, and optimize resource allocation across departments
- Assist with the planning and coordination of events, small weddings, and group bookings
- Work closely with kitchen and breakfast staff to maintain our high standards of food and service
Qualifications :
Previous experience in lodging, innkeeping, or hospitality management requiredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong leadership and problem-solving ability in a guest-focused environmentComfortable with hands-on management, including occasional assistance with front-desk or housekeeping tasksProficient in property management software (or willing to learn)Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidaysA passion for New England hospitality and a genuine love for making guests feel at homeBenefits
