ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a key role in modernizing a high‑impact geospatial platform by helping transition from ArcGIS to an open‑source stack. During this 3‑month project, you’ll build end‑to‑end solutions that empower users with actionable environmental insights, while collaborating closely across backend and frontend teams to shape scalable, data‑driven features.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Work on a 3‑month project;
• Build and maintain frontend features for a geospatial platform using a modern JavaScript / TypeScript framework (React);
• Integrate complex REST APIs serving geospatial data, including GeoJSON features, map tiles, and image PNGs;
• Swap and configure basemap tile providers, such as OpenMapTiles , Mapbox, or Esri;
• Implement complete features including user authentication, data upload, and client‑side state management for map interactions;
• Collaborate with the backend team on geospatial concepts such as BBOX , vector features, raster tiles, and projections.
