Instrumentation & Control Project Engineer for Power Grids (Santiago de Querétaro)

Descripción del trabajoA Snapshot of Your Day : As an Instrumentation & Control Project Engineer for Power Grids you will work within a team of HVDC project management and engineering specialists to design and deliver full HVDC control and protection solutions making use of the HVDC test center located in Raleigh. You are the interface between the system operator and the major automation and control systems of the HVDC system. How You’ll Make an Impact : - Design and engineer HVDC control systems, including Bay Control Units, SCADA systems, and monitoring components. - Develop and integrate control and HMI software, ensuring functionality through simulation, real-time testing, and system integration. - Build and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, manuals, signal databases, and engineering estimates. - Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to clarify technical requirements, system features, and graphical interfaces. - Support testing and commissioning activities, providing both remote and onsite technical assistance during system deployment. What You Bring : - Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, with a focus on energy systems or substation technology. - Hands-on experience with HMI systems, protocol converter and local control units. - Basic programming skills in languages like C, C++, Java, or C#, along with experience in data processing and object-oriented development. - Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel, with proficiency in English and experience working in cross-functional, customer-facing environments.
