Job Title : Strategic Inventory Planner
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Inventory Planner to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will be responsible for implementing an inventory plan that ensures the continuous and efficient supply of finished goods to customers.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain required raw material volumes according to forecast in SAP
- Maintain parameters for all raw material part numbers in SAP
- Coordinate delivery of urgent material and ensure its arrival in production area
- Generate and issue weekly delivery schedules to suppliers and confirm their receipt
- Confirm that suppliers submit required demand in a timely manner
- Monitor material in transit and inform group of any delays
- Inform group if any supplier is experiencing difficulties delivering parts to review impact on production and end customer
- Maintain, evaluate, and analyze daily raw material inventory report
- Monitor premium freight from suppliers
- Actively participate in departmental meetings
- Communicate with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management departments regarding engineering changes
- Communicate with Purchasing Department regarding pricing, supplier evaluations, contracts, supplier capacity shortages, and delivery issues
- Create Terms of Reference (TORs) if necessary
- Actively participate in new program launch activities
- Ensure schedule agreements are in place, parameters are updated, and communications are sent to suppliers on time for new raw materials and inform team if there are any delivery issues
- Record and report data required for weekly KPI review
- Actively participate in continuous improvement projects assigned to department
- Record daily / weekly / monthly reports required for position
- Responsible for understanding and meeting specific customer requirements with Zero Defects goal in mind
- Process Approach : Manages with process approach to achieve objectives
- Risk Planning and Analysis : Uses risk-based thinking with team and functions
- Life Cycle Perspective : Ensures environmental aspects are identified throughout their area, considering process inputs and outputs
