Ultrasonic NDT will be responsible for leading the establishment of NDT methods in computed tomography for our rapidly growing aerospace composite business. Under the supervision of the Quality Engineering, first objective shall be CT System Conformity Qualification, along with Product / Process Performance Validation. The position will also have to standardize and streamline methods for evaluating ongoing inspections on various product lines, and take part in various development projects in the integration and acceptance testing stages.
Responsibilities
- Process parts using Ultrasonic method / Pulse Echo Hand Scan , to achieve on-time delivery at required quality level.
- Document results and perform equipment standardization / calibration in accordance with approved work instructions.
- Interpret and evaluate data for acceptance or rejection.
- carry out any necessary preparation of parts before or after inspection and develop master samples .
- Provide the necessary guidance and / or supervision to trainees, and Level 1 personnel
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineer or similar.Required Level II Certification in accordance with the requirements of NAS410 in UT or RT (formal training 40 hrs- in accordance to level and table I of NAS410)Certification shall be in good standing with at least 6-8 months from expire600 hours (OJT) of hands-on experience (required); aerospace industry experience is highly preferred, but transferable experience from other fields, such as oil and gas, automotive and medical / bio-medical, may be consideredVision Requirements meet NAS-410Knowledge of 2D / 3D composite aerospace manufacturing, or comparable process, required.Knowledge of NDE use in large-scale fabrication operations, is preferredKnowledge of aerospace codes, standards and regulations applicable to manufacturing area is a plus.
