What will you do? Responsible for the execution / develop of manufacturing controls. Work will be performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly / plant activity where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead developing eTools, eBots and AI applications to promote assets performance effectiveness
• Lead DLA, CHARM, and Control Rooms systems & architecture in very assembly shop
• Lead among assembly shop GM Cybersecurity requirements, automation software inventories control updates, upgrades or replacement, ASMS
• Ahead of inventories control : Robotic application, Vision Systems, AMR's and CoBots
• Coordinate and develop compelling training Controls System Plan through the different levels of GC
• Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and consistency to standard methodologies
• Deploy cost optimization over OEM services, spare parts and lifetime control systems
• New program implementation / execution (SOR prep, forecasting, controls / robotics design, equipment build / run-off and buyoff)
• Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement
• Staying abreast of new controls technologies (PLC, HMI, networks, robot, vision) of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts
• Managing deliveries to program timing milestones
• Providing project report outs to senior management
• Existing program / site support (troubleshooting, etc.)
• Providing technical direction to less experienced controls engineers.
• Designing and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems
• Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology
