We are hiring an Engineering Manager for Sustaining Engineering passionate about open source software, Linux and cloud computing. This role offers the opportunity to lead one of our regional teams and report directly to the global Director of Sustaining Engineering.
Sustaining Engineering is a business-critical team that continuously improves open source software by resolving defects reported by customers. The software stack ranges from the kernel to user space applications and IaaS platforms. The role is globally distributed and focused on delivering value while maintaining work-life balance and ongoing development of team members.
As an engineering manager in Sustaining Engineering, your primary responsibility is to the people you support : ensuring they grow as engineers, contribute meaningfully, and have a great experience at Canonical. You will influence culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work with your team on strategy and execution.
