Job Title : Customs Logistics Manager
Job Description :
Lead the strategy and operation of cross-border imports from Asia to Mexico via air freight. The role requires a strong strategic vision and international trade expertise to anticipate regulatory changes, design efficient import schemes, and support business growth within legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and optimize T1 and A1 import schemes to ensure full compliance and adapt to changes in customs and trade regulations.
- Oversee relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, couriers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Plan and monitor air and ground customs clearance processes at key entry points.
- Track and report broker performance, developing action plans to resolve operational issues.
- Develop new channels and import schemes to reduce costs and clearance times while maintaining full compliance and scalability.
- Ensure smooth daily operations, reviewing consignments, validating MAWB / HAWB accuracy, sending pre-alerts, and coordinating in case of schedule changes or cancellations.
- Simplify and communicate complex trade regulations, customs laws, and policy changes to internal teams to support decision-making.
- Cross-functionally collaborate with global teams to implement new processes, integrations, and contracts.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in international Trade, International Economic Relations, Logistics, or related field.Minimum 6 years in international trade and logistics.Prior experience managing customs brokers, freight forwarders, courriers, and third-party logistics providers.Solid understanding of T1 simplified import scheme, NOM compliance, and Mexican trade regulations.Languages : Fluency in English for negotiation and multicultural communication.Benefits :
