Senior Director. Manufacturing Latin America

Reporting to the Vice President Manufacturing Americas & Global Goodyear Production System, the Senior Director Manufacturing Latin America will be responsible for the implementation / execution of the operational and manufacturing strategies across the region.

This position will ensure full alignment to the global and regional manufacturing strategies / objectives – delivering the right tire at the right cost with the highest levels of quality and driving overall efficiency through the adoption / utilization of the Goodyear product system while operating as a zero-harm culture for our associates and the environment. This includes full accountability for the operations and results of the tire manufacturing plants across the Latin America region.

The incumbent will drive business performance in terms of safety, quality, cost, delivery and culture through strong cross‑functional interaction with the plant and global teams (including, but not limited to, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety [EHS], Supply Chain, Human Resource [HR] and the Goodyear Product Systems). In partnership with plant leadership, he / she is responsible for driving culture and engagement initiatives to foster an environment and mindset of high performance, continuous improvement, collaboration and people development.

Goodyear has 8 manufacturing plants and retreading facilities across the region, including Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Chile.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Manufacturing Strategy

• Responsible for deploying the overall LA Manufacturing direction, strategy, targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) that are aligned to the global / regional manufacturing strategy and through the product creation process (PCP).
• Support and provide input into the global manufacturing footprint optimization strategy through managing start‑ups, shut‑downs, adjustments of product lines by plants, etc.
• Drive and support capital planning needs to improve safety, improve flow, increase quality and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with global / regional counterparts to drive “One Goodyear Way” through plants.
