A.Duties & Responsibilities
- The procurement of all raw material and components from assigned suppliers on behalf of the company.
- The procurement of assigned MRO items.
- Process Spot Buy, Purchase orders, as per the purchase requisition procedure.
- Provide direction and development to suppliers, and release of materials required supporting ongoing production.
- Ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to both vendors and the Senior Management Team.
- Assure that all Logistics Department and IATF 16949 Purchasing Procedures are strictly observed.
- Will evaluate cost, delivery, and performance, and ensures ongoing maintenance of the approved supplier list using the Supplier Evaluation Procedure.
- Assure that all purchase orders received are immediately reviewed and signed-off by the respective Controller or Project Engineer to indicate approval.
- Release raw materials to / from vendors in order to support ongoing production.
- Expedite required materials to support ongoing production.
- Meet and maintain minimum inventory levels as set by management.
- Interface with production supervision, customer service, production scheduling, other buyer’s and receiving to support production and to avoid line shortages or missed shipments to customers.
- Monitor and analyze vendor costs, lead times, and delivery performance.
- Conduct audits / cycle count(s) of all raw materials and purchased parts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of recorded information in Plex.
B.Minimum Qualifications
2 yrs. related experience in the Purchasing field orPost-secondary education in Business ManagementConversational EnglishERP experienceC.Required Skills
Leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.Understanding of Automotive supplier expectations and requirements.Understanding of the construction and use of a single level vs. multi-level Bill of Material.Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.Understanding of all aspects of the purchasing function including quotes, contracts, terms and conditions, etc.Understanding of all aspects of the Production control function including inventory control and product scheduling.Completion of the Purchasing Management of Canada (PMAC) course entitled “Principles of Buying”, or APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management is required and / or 2 years practical experience in related disciplines.We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those who qualify for an interview will be contacted. #joinmitchellplastics
