As a Senior Software Engineer II, Data at Helix, you will provide your data and analytics engineering expertise to Analysts and Engineers across Helix.

You'll build data products, platforms for interacting with data, and set patterns that leverage industry best practices.

Your influence will span across the organization as you collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions that drive strategic decision-making.Your Impact in this role : Lead the design of reusable data models that drive critical business operations, following industry best practicesRecognize patterns that don't serve long-term goals and implement effective solutionsDrive optimization of data pipelines and data models to enhance performance, reliability, and usabilityEstablish and champion high standards for testing, documentation, and data qualityMentor engineers and analysts on data best practicesAbout you : 5+ years of experience in data, software, or analytics engineering roles4+ years writing advanced SQL and extensive dbt experience2+ years building on existing models, helping them scale as new business requirements are introducedExpertise in dimensional modeling and other advanced data modeling methodologiesExpertise in optimizing performance in cloud data platforms such as Redshift, BigQuery, or SnowflakeExperience designing data architectures that span multiple business domainsExperience working with data catalogs and / or metadata platforms that support data discovery, classification, etc.Proficiency with Python, Golang, or TypeScript for developing robust data tools and servicesExperience working with BI tools like Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or similarExcellent communication skills with ability to translate between technical and business contextsPluses : Experience working in a regulated environment (healthcare, financial data, etc.)Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and microservices architecturesExperience designing and building microservicesAdvanced knowledge of orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Dagster, etc.) and optimization techniquesExperience implementing data governance controls (access management, privacy compliance, etc.)Track record of improving development workflows and CI / CD processes for data and analytics teamsExperience with data architectures that support domain-oriented data ownershipWhat We Offer : A Commitment to Your SuccessWe take care of our team with benefits that provide flexibility and support for your growth; what we call prestaciones superiores a las de la ley.Competitive Compensation : A strong base salary plus an annual performance bonus.Monthly Salary Range : $95,000MXN - $134,000 MXNBonus : 5%Comprehensive Health : 100% employer-paid premium for our Bronze Family Health Insurance plan, with eligibility from your first day.Allowances & Stipends : Home Office Stipend : we will reimburse up to $500 USD for essential workspace items, so you are fully equipped to perform your best.Phone Allowance : 700 MXN monthly.In-Office Perks : 80 MXNdaily for transport and 250 MXN daily for snacks on office days.Plus all bonuses and allowances as required under Mexican labor lawGenerous Time Off : Flexible vacation policy plus all national holidays.Hybrid & Remote Flexibility : Hybrid : Our office is located at WeWork - Varsovia, Mexico City.

Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, CDMX.Remote (for team members living 80 km or more outside Mexico City) : We'll invite you to our CDMX office 3-6 times a year for key training and team meetings.

These visits are a great chance to connect in person and strengthen our Helix community.
