As a key player in our innovative Data Engineering organization, you'll collaborate with brilliant minds across both internal teams and external research partners to develop solutions that bridge the gap between complex genomic data and life-changing medical breakthroughs.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will : Design, architect, and implement software systems that leverage best practices and are designed for scale.Be responsible for developing and owning cloud native applications that span multiple domains across frontend, backend, and testing.Deploy and operate software with reliability and scale for our users.Collaborate with product managers, bioinformaticians, scientists, and other engineers.Own deliverables from idea to feature completion and production deploymentImprove and adopt exceptional engineering practices for the organization.Mentor other engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and education.About you : 4+ years development experience in Go, Python, Typescript, Javascript, Java, or similar2+ years of experience developing and maintaining SPA's on frameworks such as React, , or similar.Proficiency with distributed systems built on cloud infrastructure — AWS, GCP, Azure or similarExperience developing and owning serverless (e.g., AWS Api Gateway, Lambda) and container-based microservicesExperience implementing and passion for driving AI adoption in engineering workflowsExperience architecting large, high-scale durable back-end or front-end systemsYou believe in owning your cloud infrastructure and have experience driving changes through CI / CD and Infrastructure as Code (aws-cdk, terraform, pulumi)Thought leadership and a successful track record mentoring other engineersAffinity for an engineering culture that emphasizes Agile, DevOps, and continuous deliveryFluent in English, both written and verbalPluses : Bachelor / Master of Science in Computer ScienceFamiliarity working with regulated software systems (e.g., HIPAA, ISO, FDA)Familiarity and experience developing and architecting event-driven architectures.Familiarity working in an agile environmentWhat We Offer : A Commitment to Your SuccessWe take care of our team with benefits that provide flexibility and support for your growth—what we call prestaciones superiores a las de la ley.Competitive Compensation : A strong base salary plus an annual performance bonus.Expected Helix Base : $95,000-$125,000 MXN / monthlyExpected Helix Discretionary Annual Bonus : 5% of your annual salaryComprehensive Health : 100% employer-paid premium for our Bronze Family Health Insurance plan, with eligibility from your first day.Allowances & Stipends : Home Office Stipend : we will reimburse up to $500 USD for essential workspace items, so you are fully equipped to perform your best.Phone Allowance : 700 MXP monthly.In-Office Perks : 80 MXP daily for transport and 250 MXP daily for snacks on office days.Generous Time Off : Flexible vacation policy plus all national holidays.Hybrid & Remote Flexibility : Hybrid : Our office is located at WeWork - Varsovia, Mexico City.

We gather intentionally in our office space once per week to work on things like pair programming / live collaboration, skillshare sessions, social segments, team lunches, and volunteering opportunities.

Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, CDMX.Remote (for team members living 80 km or more outside Mexico City) : We'll invite you to our CDMX office 3-6 times a year for key training and team meetings.

These visits are a great chance to connect in person and strengthen our Helix community.
