What You’ll Do
- Overview : Key point-of-contact within the Healthcare Private Equity practice vertical supporting day-to-day operations
- Own and drive long term initiatives with our most senior VPs (e.g., strategic direction, account planning)
- Directly manage, coordinate, and prioritize efforts across short-term asset building activities
Strategy :
Primary point-of-contact to execute against vertical strategic initiatives and imperativesCoordinate with sector leads on strategic plan to increase execute against strategic plans (e.g., penetrating whitespace)Commercial (Selling) :
Mobilize against near-in commercial opportunities; provide link to capabilities and industries to enable integrated diligence and post-acquisition workDrive systematic review of priority client opportunities within the verticalDevelop materials on key market trends; track announced deals, deal outcomes, and Bain involvement (pitch, selection, transaction status)Develop, maintain and prioritize list of potential publicly announced targets coming to market based on market analysis and fund commentarySupport pitch materials for high-priority targets and bake-offs; leading coordination with coverage Partner, identifying relevant redbooks and POVsCoordinate with AAG and PEGAR to recommend the highest priority tools and analytics for the sector (more broadly) and on individual dealsCoordination and Comms :
Help to ensure coordination across practice, regions, and capability interlocksSupport and drive content for sector, practice and annual planning meetings, including pipeline conversion, revenue, IP / POVsDevelop and maintain list of Bain and external experts on key sub-segments, particularly for upcoming deals or prioritized targetsRequired
Bachelor’s Degree and 6-9 years Management Consulting / Private Equity experience OR Master's Degree and 5-6 years of Management Consulting / Private Equity experienceCore skillsAbility to multi-task, and continuously re-prioritize as things come upAbility to drive complex content value creation work and lead analysis in fast-paced environmentSuperior communication skills with senior people in the firm and excellent business acumenCollaborative – someone who knows how to work with and through others to drive results and make change happen, and is customer service orientedEntrepreneurial, proactive, and productive - someone who knows how to prioritize what needs to be done and rallies colleagues to get things accomplished; “roll up the sleeves” type of attitudeBright – both insightful and creative, with strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic, with a practical, “real-world” sense of what is actually “do-able”.
