Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hospital IT teams, Epic analysts, and internal product teams to scope, test, and validate integration requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between SaaS / SaMD platforms and hospital Epic environments.
- Implement Epic FHIR APIs (read / write) to securely exchange patient data, integrating with Epic MyChart (patient-facing) and Epic InBasket (provider-facing).
- Develop and support Epic Connection Hub apps to surface structured PDF reports directly in Epic workflows.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and apply security best practices across integration work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving Epic connectivity, authentication (OAuth2 / SMART on FHIR), and data exchange.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation : integration specs, data mappings, deployment runbooks.
Desired Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.3–5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in healthcare IT.Proven experience integrating SaaS or SaMD platforms with Epic EHR systems.Hands-on knowledge of Epic FHIR APIs, OAuth2, SMART on FHIR, Epic MyChart, and Connection Hub.Strong understanding of hospital IT systems, HL7 / FHIR standards, and healthcare data workflows.Knowledge of HIPAA and data security principles.Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work collaboratively with clinical and technical stakeholders.Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).Technologies & Tools
