About the Role : Position summary & Main tasks / activities

We act as the second line of defense—ensuring that first-line teams proactively identify key risks and implement effective controls to prevent major incidents.

As Risk Analyst LatAm, you will support the Risk Management function in identifying, monitoring, and reporting risks across the region.

You will contribute to maintaining a strong control environment and promoting risk culture through analysis, reporting, and collaboration.

This role also offers exposure to Life & Health Risk Management topics as part of the MU Latin America scope.

Support risk identification and evaluation across Swiss Re's LatAm operations.

Extract and analyze risk data using internal tools (e.g., dashboards, OneORM reports).

Contribute to Risk Reporting deliverables such as the Risk Matrix, Operational Events Report, CRB Score, and Political Risk updates.

Assist in maintaining the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and performing control reviews aligned with Swiss Re's internal framework.

Help prepare and deliver risk management trainings and refreshers to strengthen risk culture.

Support the preparation of regulatory risk submissions and monitor regulatory trends in the region.

Contribute to the Regulatory Risks Newsletter and related communications.

About the Team

The role sits within the Risk Management function for Latin America, embedded in a dynamic and collaborative team that supports both Property & Casualty and Life & Health Reinsurance.

The team partners closely with business leaders, governance functions, and Group Risk to ensure a robust risk culture and effective control environment across the region.

This position offers exposure to senior stakeholders and plays a key role in shaping risk awareness and operational resilience.

The environment is fast-paced, cross-functional, and impact-driven—ideal for a risk professional who thrives on influence, structure, and strategic execution

About you

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial, Business Admin, Economics, or related field.

Experience in risk analysis, regulatory compliance, or control functions.

Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

Familiarity with operational risk frameworks and regulatory environments in Latin America.

Builds trusted relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Communicates risk topics clearly and effectively across levels.

Adapts quickly to change while maintaining focus and resilience.

Fluent in English and Spanish
