Purpose of PositionThe AP Team Lead in our Shared Service Operation is a leader within the AP team, ensuring strong communications / relationships with vendors, internal customers, and senior management. Provides supervision of the AP department for employees at entry or intermediate level as well as training and mentoring. Ensures correct and timely posting of invoices, maintains accurate financial records, and adherence to internal controls.ResponsibilitiesOverall daily supervision of Accounts Payable teamReview workload allocation and ensure timely completion of deliverablesMonitors performance and ensures individual and team objectives are metPerforms audit / quality controlsDevelop department metrics and ensure KPI / SLAs are metProvides performance feedback during coaching sessions, 1 : 1sIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement changesImplement best practices to improve KPI resultsDefine action plans to mitigate errors on processingEnsure SOPs completion and changes are updated accordinglyResponsible for compliance with internal controlsProvide guidance to resolve complex issues, discrepanciesAssist with efficient and timely month end closingAd hoc responsibilities as assignedMinimum Skills RequiredFinance, Business Administration or related degreeExcellent communication in English which must include oral, written, and comprehension skillsAt least 7 years of work experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts PayableMinimum of 5 years of experience in Shared Service CentersMinimum of 2 years of experience supervising or leading teamsExperience managing teams utilizing Coupa SoftwareExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership and organizational skillsAble to work independently, assess priorities, and meet tight deadlinesProven problem-solving abilitiesExcellent analytical skillsStrong work ethicPreferred but not EssentialExperience in Migrations / Knowledge transferKnowledge of SAP, Oracle, Esker, and Readsoft (ProcessIT) systems
