About the Role

At Persistent Systems, we’re looking for a DevOps Engineer for Advanced Deployment for a Multi-Cloud project. As a DevOps Engineer in this role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and implementing progressive delivery strategies across AWS and Azure environments. You’ll work closely with application teams and SREs to ensure safe, scalable, and observable deployments using cutting-edge tools like Harness, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in high-availability SaaS environments and enjoys building reusable, automated deployment pipelines that span multiple regions and cloud platforms.

What You’ll Do

As a DevOps on this project, you’ll be responsible for :

• Design and implement progressive delivery strategies (canary, rolling, blue / green) across AWS and Azure.
• Automate deployment gates and rollback mechanisms using SLIs / SLOs and business KPIs.
• Build reusable Harness pipelines, templates and governance for standardized deployments.
• Automate deployments to AWS EKS, AWS Lambda, RDS parameter changes; implement equivalent pipelines for Azure AKS, Functions, and database services.
• Integrate observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus) for deployment decisions and health checks.
• Collaborate with SRE and application teams to plan safe change windows, capacity ramps, and blast-radius controls.
• Codify infrastructure using Terraform and manage region-specific configurations and secrets safely.
• Create detailed runbooks and post-deployment reports to drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and enhance reliability through automation and guardrails.
