Key Responsibilities1.
Internal Control & Process Optimization-Develop, implement, and monitor robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Take ownership of key financial processes, including the employee expense reimbursement cycle, procurement-to-pay, and order-to-cash.
- Continuously identify and lead initiatives to improve process efficiency, accuracy, and digitalization.2.
Business Partnering & Vendor Management-Act as the primary finance point of contact for suppliers, managing relationships, resolving billing and payment issues, and supporting the procurement team with cost analysis and contract reviews.
Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.Liaise with external parties, including auditors, banks, and tax advisors, ensuring a smooth and compliant operation.3.Accounting Compliance-Ensure the local accounting practices and financial reporting fully comply with both the group policies of the headquarters (a publicly listed company) and Mexican local statutory requirements.
Manage the compliance of account books, financial statements, and internal controls to meet dual standards.
Work closely with the Tax Supervisor to align accounting and tax compliance, ensuring overall fiscal and financial regulatory adherence.Monitor and implement any changes in Mexican financial reporting standards and regulations.4.
Financial Controlling & Reporting-Manage the complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in accordance with local GAAP and company policies.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports, providing clear explanations for variances.Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.Requirements-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's or MBA is a plus).5+ years of experience in financial management or related roles.Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP) and financial regulations.Excellent comunication, colaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.English is mandatory.
