Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and skilled construction leader to oversee and direct industrial projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for successfully coordinating and supervising construction, developing and delivering a comprehensive construction strategy, reviewing projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
This role requires planning, organizing, scheduling, directing, and controlling the delivery of construction while ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will maximize value, protect our reputation, mitigate risks, manage interfaces, and implement project controls.
Key Responsibilities :
- Direct and support clients and company representatives on different package disciplines during design, supply, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Approve and sign off all construction-related plans and decisions across all packages.
- Identify design changes resulting from contract variations within the contractor's scope of work and notify the project and package contractors.
- Implement and adhere to project quality plans within areas of responsibility.
- Highlight technical queries / disputes regarding contractor-supplied documentation and assist in resolving such queries.
- Ensure adequate design safety risk assessments are undertaken and monitor / close out actions as necessary.
- Provide technical input to project quality plans.
- Support engineering managers on construction-related issues.
- Offer technical and commercial input into construction plans supplied by contractors.
Requirements :
Minimum 8 years' experience as a construction manager, managing and leading teams on construction sites.Engineering degree with title status.Understanding and experience of the engineering and construction industry from a technical perspective.Knowledge of up-to-date design developments, statutory regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards in relation to construction.Fluent in English (spoken and written).Professional Requirements :
