Overview

Join International Segment's Global Emerging Markets (GEMs) Unit as the Finance Head for Latin America and Caribbean Distributor Markets Cluster (LACDM).

In this high-impact and high-visibility role, you will be responsible for strategic leadership and co-pilot role in one of the fastest growing businesses in GEMs.

You will partner across cluster leadership and operations teams to support consistent business results and deliver the accelerate ambition for the cluster.

You will provide financial insights and advice, support internal and external stakeholders to enable sound business decisions.

You will be the strong right hand of the LACDM & Mexico Commercial Directors in driving both short- and long-term sustainable business success.

LACDM Cluster is one of our biggest and fastest growing distributor clusters.

It sells multiple General Mills brands across 35+ markets, including Mexico (new cluster), Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, etc.

It will provide differential leadership experience in navigating complexities across multiple emerging markets, channels, and external / internal partners.

Lastly, Mexico is one of our critical markets in our Accelerate vision and will deliver strong double digit profitable growth in the next years.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partner, Co-Pilot : Act as a strategic and analytical thought partner to the Cluster Commercial Leader, Cluster cross-functional leadership team, and the rest of GEMs Finance on a wide range of financial, strategic, operational, and organizational matters.

Help in managing portfolio of brands and markets as regards to investments and prioritization.

Partner and collaborate for impact to maximize sustainable business results, assess risks and opportunities and drive accountability across the organization.

FP&A and Management Reporting : Responsible for development, execution, and monitoring of operating plans (SP and 3OP), periodic financial forecasts (PEAK), and monthly financial close.

Strengthen the finance function in the cluster by enhancing reporting, insights, and analytics.

Help identify, evaluate, track and report progress against key strategic priorities to enable growth.

Push analytical rigor in thinking and decision making.

Anchor and hold the organization accountable in delivering consistent financial results year after year.

Financial Reporting : Provide accurate, relevant, and timely analysis, benchmarks, data and insights that improve business decisions and maximize profitable growth.

Develop and review financial forecasts with leadership to assure business performance is in line with expectations.

Recommend actions for improvement as appropriate.

Holistic Finance Leadership, "CFO" Coverage : Responsible for different aspects of finance including FP&A, core working capital management, risk and investment analysis activities, internal controls.

Be the strong voice of our shareholders in maximizing value creation in the cluster.

Collaborate closely with GEMs Central team and external partners, especially our Distributors in ensuring they perform in line with our expectations.

Team Leadership : Lead and empower the finance team in LACDM cluster to ensure there is strong bias for action and commercial mindset, influencing where finance can make an impact.

Ensure there is high performance culture within the finance team and opportunities to both challenge and grow the team in LACDM.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

10+ years of related experience, managing business units

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Fluent in both English and Spanish

Ability to travel frequently within the cluster

Ability to work well on team and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization (Partnership for Impact) and coach / develop others

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of related experience

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, complex environment

Ability to think strategically at a high level and at the same time not afraid to deep-dive into the details

Experience managing others and leading teams

Experience in food manufacturing and distributor management

Proven analytical and strategic skills (Analytic Proficiency)

Highly motivated self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skills; willingness to roll-up sleeves as appropriate

Assertive, self-confident, and willing to offer opinions and insights
