Finance Senior Manager, Business Planning & Commercial Excellence (Mexico & LATAM Distributors)

What You Will Do

  • Leads business planning and decision-making processes including BGT, FC, and LRS; ensures all required financial analysis is provided by the team.
  • Holds affiliate-level responsibility for target setting, incentives plan design, implementation and calculations; supports internal consulting projects such as segmentations, sizing, and territory alignment.
  • Leads commercial excellence and BP&A projects, partnering across functions including marketing and sales.
  • Oversees reporting production and monitoring of actuals and forecasted OPEX and revenues (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Designs and maintains data dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to track key commercial metrics and business performance.
  • Communicates financial trends and strategic implications to MX BU Managers and LATAM Dist. team.
  • Prepares and presents executive-ready dashboards and decks summarizing performance and outlook for local management and regional leadership.
  • Ensures data accuracy and integrity for reliable reporting; partners with accounting for accurate financial reporting.
  • Consolidates data from all departments to produce reliable forecasting and plans.
  • Identifies process efficiencies and leads initiatives to streamline financial and planning workflows.

  • Advocates financial compliance within the organization.
  • Leads initiatives to develop innovative approaches and guidelines, partnering with external and corporate teams.

  • Financial analysis for decision support and strategic planning.
  • Accurate and timely budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans for sales and Opex.
  • Automated and reliable BI / SFE dashboards and metric frameworks delivering actionable insights.
  • Sales force effectiveness results to optimize field productivity.
  • Management reports and presentations for the Management Team and regional leadership.
  • Capability building to strengthen analytics, planning, and execution excellence.
  • Trained and motivated SFE, FP&A and BI teams.
  • What We Expect Of You

    We value diverse contributions and seek a professional with the following qualifications.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, or Economics with focused studies in financial analysis, controlling, accounting, and consolidation; 2 years of FP&A, BI, SFE, or Commercial Excellence experience in pharma / biotech OR
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Analytics, or Economics with the same focus; 4 years of relevant experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Analytics, or Economics with the same focus; 6 years of relevant experience OR
  • Associate’s degree with 10 years of relevant FP&A / BI / SFE / Commercial Excellence experience in pharma / biotech OR
  • High school diploma / GED with 12 years of relevant experience in FP&A / BI / SFE / Commercial Excellence in pharma / biotech.
  • Previous management experience of direct reports.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel (modeling) and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Experience in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP.
  • Forecasting, scenario modeling, and data-driven insights expertise.
  • Data visualization, reporting, and workflow optimization skills.
  • Change management, tool adoption, and team collaboration track record.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Customer focus, strategic problem-solving, and project planning capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and delegation skills; aligns with Amgen values.
