What You’ll Do
- Support our largest and most technically sophisticated customers in resolving technical problems, threats, or attacks on their infrastructure at OSI Layers 3, 4, and 7.
- Work with Cloudflare products including Magic Transit Infrastructure Protection, Argo Smart Routing, DDoS mitigation, Network Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Spectrum, and Rate Limiting to help customers.
- Communicate with customers via chat, email, and phone; provide guidance on mitigation strategies and best practices.
- Assist Engineering and Operations teams to mitigate attacks, suggest steps to mitigate, and apply appropriate mitigations.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve products and tools.
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
Fluent English speaker.Minimum 3 years in a Technical Support role solving technical issues.Self-driven with the ability to learn new technologies with little guidance.Fundamental understanding of how the Internet works (OSI Model) and advanced understanding of TCP / UDP.Computer networking fundamentals; experience with iptables and looking glass.Experience troubleshooting network connectivity, BGP routing, and GRE tunnels; packet capture analysis.Experience with command line tools : curl, dig, traceroute, openssl, git.Experience troubleshooting DNS, SSL / TLS, HTTP; experience in web development / hosting environments (Apache, Nginx, Caddy, IIS).Experience scripting (Bash, Python, JavaScript or other).Experience working in a customer-facing team.Availability And Schedule Requirements
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including Tuesday-Saturday, Sunday-Thursday, holidays, weekends, periods longer than 5 days, or additional hours as needed.Bonus Points
Familiar with Cloudflare platform; experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL or other databases.Fluent in languages beyond English and Spanish.What Makes Cloudflare Special
