Role Overview

We’re working with a company that builds AI-powered training simulations to help people improve real-world skills like leadership, communication, and decision-making. Their platform is used by organizations in education, healthcare, and business to create safe, realistic environments where employees can practice important human skills. To power these simulations, the company combines real-time audio / video, digital avatars, and AI, all running on a fast-moving backend infrastructure. That’s where this role comes in.

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Python / GenAI) to build the backend systems that make real-time AI experiences possible. You won’t be building AI models yourself—but you’ll work alongside the AI team to develop the services and infrastructure that allow those models to be deployed, scaled, and used in live environments.

This is a driver role—you’ll be expected to bring new ideas, help shape processes, and take initiative in solving problems, not just wait for tasks to be assigned. You’ll be part of a lean, startup-style AI team, where everyone contributes across a wide range of projects. You won’t be siloed into just one product or feature—your work will span across multiple high-impact initiatives.

Your work will focus on :

• Developing backend services in Python that support real-time communication using LiveKit and WebSockets
• Building systems that make it easy to deploy, monitor, and scale AI features
• Working with AWS (EC2) and Kubernetes to ensure performance and reliability
• Creating tools and infrastructure that unblock AI engineers, allowing them to move faster
• Contributing to a platform used in live, multi-user environments where low-latency and high stability are critical

Interview Process

Our interview process is designed to be efficient, respectful of your schedule, and never burdensome.
