Hardware Development Engineer

Overview

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. As a Hardware Development Engineer for the Hardware Systems Engineering group, you will work closely with design teams to provide innovative DRAM board level products to the market. The role covers all aspects of producing a product from logical design through design package release and PCBA validation, solving electrical and mechanical PCBA and circuit design concerns, selecting components, maintaining documentation to ISO specifications, and developing software tools to automate hardware development.

Responsibilities

• PCBA Design for DRAM memory products. Assemble logical design in schematic using Allegro based tools – circuit design and part selection. Create variants used for BOM creation.
• Direct team members – layout designer, simulation engineer and lab – on scope of work to perform.
• Communicate project information, issues, and lessons learned with stakeholders.
• Discover and implement automation opportunities to improve team efficiency and productivity.
• Create software documentation and provide training for all newly developed applications.
