We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a key role in our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about Calypso and wants to contribute their skills and experience to a dynamic team.
As a Calypso Professional, you will be responsible for providing support and additional build out (projects) for Calypso instance. You will work closely with relevant business and technology stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s). Your responsibilities will include addressing and responding to production support issues, troubleshooting issues arising from day-to-day activities, configuring and updating functional setup in Calypso, executing scheduled tasks, developing necessary functional solutions, monitoring market quotes, feed & security definitions download, and ensuring supporting documents are complete and stored properly.
You might also be acting as a business analyst to help the team gather and write requirements, acceptance criteria. Your tasks may include configuring standard & custom interfaces within Calypso, setting up quote feeds from Bloomberg, holiday calendar feeds, interest rate curves, market data, dividend curves, equity volatility surface feeds, translating historical volatility of volatility-controlled indexes to a volatility surface, set-up pricing configuration & pricing parameters, and some end-of-day processing / monitoring.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have 3+ years of experience working in Capital Markets and Calypso. You must have good knowledge of financial products cross-assets and expertise with a front-to-back Calypso derivatives solution, including accounting. Preferably, you will have an insurance industry focus. You should also have excellent analytical skills, understanding of project life cycles, and ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the requirements from the business are gathered in the appropriate manner.
Other required skills include being able to work with little supervision, being a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator with strong problem-solving skills. You must also be resourceful and demonstrate initiative in getting the job done. Good oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to train and transfer knowledge to Guardian's business and technology stakeholders.
